Finally in....sort of

Today (Saturday 20th of July) was a busy and exciting day for the Barnsley Tabletop Gamers at our new location. Despite still being in the process of unpacking – with boxes scattered about like a post-battlefield – the energy and enthusiasm of our members made it a fantastic day of wargaming.

We had an incredible variety of games going on throughout the day. One table featured an epic fantasy battle with Kings of War, while another saw intense sci-fi skirmishes in Legion Imperialis. The highlight was a colossal historical game on our 12' by 6' table, recreating World War 2 scenarios using the Chain of Command rules. Additionally, members enjoyed the new edition of the classic board game Talisman, which added a nostalgic touch to the day.

Our new venue has allowed us to expand from five dedicated tables to six, plus we now have a dedicated board games section with collapsible tables for added flexibility. This dedicated space gives us a significant advantage over wargaming clubs that only hire out church halls or community centres. We’re particularly proud of our two giant tables, one measuring 10' by 6' and the other an impressive 12' by 6', perfect for hosting massive games that require plenty of space.

We're now at Unit 17, Chesham House, Chesham Road, Barnsley, S70 2NT. Our venue is conveniently located just off Summer Lane, directly across from the George and Dragon Pub, and up the small road next to JJ's Cafe. Come and see our vibrant community and exciting gameplay. Click the button below to view our location on Google Maps.
